Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has disclosed that he wants rising Afrobeat star Asake to perform at his wedding. The revelation came during their recent appearance on Apple Music radio with DJ Tunez.
Wizkid shared that the song ‘Omo Ope’ made him an instant fan of Asake, but his ultimate favourite is ‘Remember’, which he insists must be played at his wedding.
The Starboy boss lauded Asake as one of the most talented vocalists not just in Africa, but globally. “You are amazing, you have one of the most special voices from home and in the world. I have told you that like a million times and I am saying it again on radio. You are a blessing to African music,” Wizkid said.
Wizkid is currently in a romantic relationship with his third baby mama and manager, Japa P. The couple share three children together—two boys and a girl. Fans have been eagerly anticipating news of the Starboy boss’s wedding, which he has been teasing for years.
