Liverpool Football Club has reduced its planned ticket price increases for the next two seasons after protests from supporters and discussions with fan representatives.

The club confirmed that general admission ticket prices will rise by 3% for the 2026–27 season. However, prices will be frozen for the 2027–28 campaign.

The move represents a major shift from Liverpool’s earlier proposal to increase ticket prices in line with inflation over a three-year period.

Despite the revised plan, season ticket prices at Anfield will still increase next season. The cheapest seat in the Kop will cost £734.50, while the most expensive seat in the Main Stand will rise to £931.

Matchday ticket prices will range from £30 in the Anfield Road Stand to £62.75 in the Main Stand.

The decision followed weeks of engagement between the club and supporters’ representatives.

In a joint statement released on Thursday, fan groups welcomed the club’s decision to abandon the original pricing structure.

“We welcome the decision that Liverpool FC will no longer proceed with its previously announced three-year ticket pricing model,” the statement said.

The groups added that the revised approach creates room for further discussions on long-term affordability and fan access to matches.

“We understand that disappointment at next season’s increase in ticket prices will remain for some, but we want to assure fans we will continue talks with the club and do our best to find other ways in the future,” the statement added.

Supporters’ organisations, including Spirit of Shankly, had earlier launched campaigns urging fans to spend money outside Anfield instead of inside the stadium as part of protests against rising costs.

Liverpool also noted that future inflation-linked increases may still become necessary if alternative revenue sources are not identified.

The club and supporter groups are expected to continue discussions in the coming seasons over ticket pricing and fan accessibility.
