Super Eagles winger Moses Simon has emerged as a key transfer target for Everton, with reports indicating that the Premier League club is stepping up efforts to sign the FC Nantes star ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to a report by Africafoot, Everton scouts have visited Stade de la Beaujoire in recent weeks to watch the 29-year-old in action. Simon, who has enjoyed a strong 2024/25 campaign, has tallied 7 goals and 9 assists in 27 appearances across all competitions.
The Toffees, currently 13th in the Premier League, are planning a squad rebuild and see Simon as a valuable addition to their frontline. The Jos-born winger, who has earned 72 caps and scored 9 goals for Nigeria, is under contract with Nantes until June 2026.
“Everton scouts have reportedly visited Stade de la Beaujoire in recent weeks to monitor the 29-year-old forward,” Africafoot confirmed.
The French club is reportedly open to letting Simon leave, but will demand at least €15 million for his services, despite his current market value of €12 million. The player is also said to be open to a new challenge and has instructed his agent to explore opportunities in England.
Simon joined Nantes from Levante in 2020 for €6.5 million, and has since become one of their most consistent performers. He extended his contract with the club in 2023.
With Everton looking to revamp their attack, Simon’s pace, experience, and creativity could be a perfect fit for manager Sean Dyche’s plans.
