UCL Round of 16 Draw Sets Up Blockbuster Clashes Across Europe

The draw for the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 was held on Friday, setting up a series of blockbuster fixtures as Europe’s elite clubs chase continental glory.

Defending champions Real Madrid were paired against Manchester City

French champions Paris Saint-Germain will take on Chelsea, while Newcastle United face a daunting test against Barcelona.

Elsewhere, Turkish champions Galatasaray are set to meet Liverpool, and Atlético Madrid will clash with Tottenham Hotspur.

Italian side Atalanta have drawn German champions Bayern Munich, while Bayer Leverkusen will battle Arsenal for a place in the quarter-finals.

The first legs of the Round of 16 ties are expected in the coming weeks, with the return fixtures determining which eight teams advance to the quarter-finals of Europe’s premier club competition.
