Africa’s largest culinary celebration returns with “A Shared Experience,” spotlighting food, culture, and community from May 2–4, 2025.

The stage is set for Africa’s most anticipated food and culture event as Guaranty Trust Holding Company Plc (GTCO) launches the 8th edition of the GTCO Food and Drink Festival today, Friday, May 2, through Sunday, May 4, 2025.

The three-day festival is taking place at the GTCentre, Plot 1 Water Corporation Drive, Oniru, Victoria Island, Lagos.

This year’s theme, “A Shared Experience,” celebrates the storytelling power of food—connecting generations and cultures through shared meals and culinary traditions.

Festivalgoers can explore 204 free retail stalls, showcasing a wide variety of offerings. These include traditional Nigerian dishes, modern fusion cuisines, gourmet desserts, beverages, and regional delicacies.

The event also features interactive masterclasses led by internationally renowned chefs and culinary experts. They will share practical tips, recipes, and global cooking techniques.

For street food lovers, the festival includes an expansive street food arena, while families can enjoy a dedicated children’s play area, creating a wholesome experience for all ages.

Speaking ahead of the event, GTCO’s Group CEO, Mr. Segun Agbaje, said:

“The GTCO Food and Drink Festival is a celebration of our rich cultural diversity and entrepreneurial spirit. Beyond the festivities, it reflects our commitment to supporting local enterprises through a free platform for connection and growth.”
