The wife of the Anambra State Governor, Dr. Nonye Soludo, has encouraged Nigerian children to believe in themselves, dream boldly, and remain committed to hard work as the nation joined the world in celebrating the 2026 Children’s Day.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Soludo said the future belongs to children and emphasized that with proper education, guidance, innovation, and access to opportunities, there are no limits to what they can achieve.

She also urged children to uphold values such as patriotism, discipline, and moral integrity, noting that these qualities are essential for personal growth and national development.

“As we mark Children’s Day today, we celebrate the bold dreams, brilliance, and limitless potential of every Anambra child,” she said.

“Our children are not just the leaders of tomorrow; they are the pride and future of Anambra State. With the right education, guidance, innovation, and opportunities, there is no limit to what they can achieve.”

Soludo, who founded the Non-Governmental Organisation Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo, stressed the importance of inclusion in line with this year’s theme, “Future now: Promoting inclusion for every Nigerian child.”

She highlighted the need for equal access to education, healthcare, and protection for all children, regardless of gender, socio-economic background, disability, or location.

According to her, Anambra State remains committed to building a “smarter, safer, and more progressive” society where every child can thrive and succeed irrespective of background.

“To every Anambra child out there: believe in yourself, stay curious, work hard, and never stop dreaming,” she added. “The future is bright, and it belongs to you. Grab it with both hands.”

The Children’s Day celebration serves as a reminder of the importance of investing in children’s welfare and ensuring inclusive opportunities for their development across Nigeria.
