President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has postponed his planned trip to Iperu, Ogun State on Thursday, originally intended to flag off operations at the Gateway International Cargo Airport.
Instead, Tinubu will travel to Jos, the capital of Plateau State, to commiserate with the state government and citizens following recent gun attacks that claimed numerous lives. From Plateau, the President will proceed to Lagos to observe Good Friday.
On Saturday, April 4, President Tinubu will visit Ogun State to commission the Gateway International Cargo Airport and inaugurate two commercial aircraft for import and export operations, intended to stimulate the state’s economic growth.
He will also inaugurate the new edifice of the Federal Operations Unit of the Nigerian Customs Service along with its operational vehicles.
During his Easter visit in Lagos, Tinubu is expected to commission several infrastructure projects completed under the administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, including:
1. The iconic Ojota/Opebi Link Bridge
2. The Lagos State Geographic Information System Building
3. The Multi-Agency Complex named after the President
4. A school complex
Before returning to Abuja, President Tinubu will visit Bayelsa State on April 10 to commission selected projects completed under Governor Duoye Diri’s administration.
The itinerary reflects a blend of national security concern, Easter observances, and economic and infrastructural development engagements.
