Assistant coach of Solution FC, an Anambra-based Nigeria National League side, Olisa Ezeasor, has sold the pair of football boots gifted to him by Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, barely two months after receiving them.
Ezeasor had initially listed the boots for N1 million, noting that he needed the money to support his personal business. The boots were the same pair Osimhen wore when he scored a hat-trick for Nigeria in the 2026 World Cup qualifying match against the Benin Republic.
The coach confirmed on Sunday that the boots were purchased by football administrator Fola Olatunji-David for an undisclosed fee.
“Boot sold. Purchased by Fola Olatunji-David. Price: undisclosed,” he announced in an update shared on social media.
Ezeasor also revealed plans to give back to his online supporters by launching a N250,000 giveaway from the proceeds of the sale.
“In order to give back to my mutual community… I’ll be doing a giveaway worth N250,000. N10,000 for 25 persons,” he posted, instructing followers on how to participate.
Osimhen had gifted him the boots in September after Ezeasor praised the striker for boosting Nigeria’s World Cup qualification hopes with his impressive hat-trick performance.
Meanwhile, Solution FC suffered a 2-0 defeat against Abakaliki FC—finalists of the 2025 President Federation Cup—during their league match on Saturday. The loss prompted Ezeasor to criticise what he described as partial officiating in the Nigeria National League.
