Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has congratulated Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on the occasion of her 65th birthday, describing her as a compassionate leader and pillar of support to President Bola Tinubu.
In a statement on Saturday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, the governor said Senator Tinubu has consistently demonstrated selfless dedication to public service, both during her time as Lagos First Lady and as a three-term senator.
Sanwo-Olu noted that the First Lady has continued to impact millions of Nigerians positively since assuming office on May 29, 2023, through her Renewed Hope Initiative, which focuses on empowering women, supporting families, and addressing the needs of children.
“On behalf of my wife, Ibijoke, the government and people of Lagos State, I heartily congratulate Senator Oluremi Tinubu on her 65th birthday. She is a great ambassador of Lagos and has served passionately in different capacities without blemish,” Sanwo-Olu said.
He praised her for her tireless advocacy for women and social justice, as well as her philanthropic efforts that have touched lives across the country.
The governor also prayed for God’s continued guidance and good health for the First Lady, describing her as “our Amazon” and commending her for her enduring contributions to Lagos and Nigeria.
