Female employees of SanlamAllianz Nigeria, under the aegis of the SanlamAllianz Women’s Network (SAWN), have reinforced the company’s commitment to community development with a high-impact Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative at Gbara Community Senior Secondary School, Eti-Osa, in celebration of the International Day of Education.

A statement signed on Monday by the MCC Manager, Bankole Banjo, disclosed that the outreach directly benefited over 240 students through the donation of essential educational materials, care packs, and books aimed at strengthening the school’s library resources.

Beyond the donations, the initiative also served as a platform to inspire students to pursue academic excellence, resilience, and personal development, while encouraging them to prioritise self-care as a foundation for lasting self-confidence.

Speaking on the initiative, the President of the SanlamAllianz Women’s Network and Growth Manager, Alternate Distribution, SanlamAllianz Life Insurance, Ogechi Ekwosimba, said the network was established to empower both employees and communities.

“Our network was established not only to empower the women within SanlamAllianz but to create a ripple effect of meaningful impact beyond our workplace. We believe that supporting education is the single most effective way to contribute to sustainable, long-term community development,” Ekwosimba said.

The programme also featured a keynote address by Abimbola Lawson, Company Secretary and Head of Legal and Compliance at SanlamAllianz Life Insurance. She described education as the ultimate tool for self-reliance and personal growth.

“Education gives you the power to make informed choices and build a future anchored on integrity and purpose. It is your pathway to opportunity and personal growth,” Lawson told the students.

In her response, the school’s principal, Mrs. Abosede Oyewole, expressed gratitude to SanlamAllianz for the gesture, assuring that the donated books and materials would be effectively utilised. She also prayed for the continued success of the organisation.

Driven by the active participation of SanlamAllianz employees, the initiative highlights the company’s broader dedication to social responsibility and inclusive progress. By aligning corporate values with practical community action, SanlamAllianz continues to promote sustainable development across Nigeria.
