Rep. Abdulmumin Jibrin (NNPP-Kano State) has officially returned to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and declared his support for President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.
The announcement was made in a statement by Jibrin, who represents Kiru and Bebeji Constituency, Kano, on Monday. He formally renounced his membership in the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and the Kwankwasiyya Movement led by former Kano State Governor, Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso.
Jibrin was warmly received by thousands of his constituents in Kofa, Bebeji Local Government Area, where he reaffirmed his commitment to APC and endorsed Tinubu. More than 2,000 Islamic clerics (Ulamas) offered special prayers for the president, as well as for peace and development in Kano State and Nigeria.
His return to APC comes two months after his expulsion from NNPP over alleged anti-party activities and non-payment of membership dues.
Expressing gratitude to NNPP for their past support, Jibrin urged his followers to join him in his new political journey with the APC.
