President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended warm greetings to Nigerian workers on the occasion of Workers’ Day, praising their vital role in driving the country’s progress.
In a post on his official X handle @officialABAT, the President described workers as “the engine of our economy and the secret to our nation’s growth.”
He acknowledged the efforts of all Nigerians—young and old, entrepreneurs and employees, across both public and private sectors—for their meaningful contributions to homes, communities, and national development.
“To every Nigerian worker, happy Worker’s Day. You are the engine of our economy and the secret to our nation’s growth,” Tinubu stated.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to workers’ welfare, citing ongoing relief programmes and upcoming minimum wage reviews as key policy priorities.
“Our administration has and will continue to prioritise workers’ welfare. Together, we will make Nigeria great again,” he added.
The President’s message underscores the government’s pledge to sustain a productive partnership with the labour force in building a stronger, more inclusive Nigeria.
