Ace Nigerian rapper and music executive Olamide Adedeji, popularly known as Olamide Baddo, has revealed that he is currently in a phase of self-prioritisation, marking a new chapter in his personal and professional life.
The YBNL boss, who has spent years building the careers of several top Nigerian artistes alongside his own, said he is now fully committed to focusing on his personal well-being.
Speaking in a recent interview with Flow 98.7 FM, Olamide said,
“Right now, I’m at the phase in my life where I’m really trying to give myself undivided attention. All my life I’ve been trying to be there for people and also trying to do my stuff. But right now, I’m really just trying to focus on myself 100 percent.”
Olamide is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in Nigeria’s music industry. Through his record label YBNL Nation, he has helped launch the careers of several hit-making stars such as Lil Kesh, Young John, Pheelz, Fireboy DML, Lyta, Asake, and Adekunle Gold, among others.
Beyond his label, the rap icon has also provided breakthrough moments for numerous artistes through high-profile collaborations, including Zlatan Ibile, Naira Marley, Portable, and Bella Shmurda.
His latest revelation signals a shift toward personal balance after years of shaping Nigeria’s contemporary music landscape and supporting the rise of many of today’s biggest stars.
