The Anambra State Police Command has arrested a 25-year-old man, identified as Samuel Eze, for being found in possession of a woman’s breast part, in a shocking case that has prompted further investigation.
In a statement issued on Sunday by the command’s spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga, the arrest was made by a joint security patrol comprising officers of the Awada Police Station and Anambra Vigilante operatives on July 6, 2025, at 3:30 p.m., along Jude Onyekwere Street, Awada, Obosi.
“The body part was recovered and deposited at the morgue for preservation. The suspect is currently undergoing police interrogation for necessary investigative actions and prosecution,” the statement read.
In a separate operation on July 4, officers attached to the Rapid Response Squad rescued a kidnapped driver and recovered a truck loaded with custard powder valued at ₦9.5 million.
The truck had reportedly been hijacked while en route to Asaba, Delta State, and diverted to Enugwu Ukwu, where the driver was tied up and abandoned in a bush.
Additionally, Ikenga noted the recovery of a suspected stolen Toyota Sienna (custom colour, Reg No: 736 JP) with “Forum of Accountants Delta State” inscribed on its body.
The vehicle was found abandoned on July 5, 2025, during a routine patrol along Okpuno–Umuota Village, Obosi.
The police are calling on anyone searching for the abandoned vehicle or involved in missing goods reports to approach the command with valid proof of ownership for verification and possible retrieval.
Ikenga reiterated the command’s commitment to public safety, noting that joint security operations — involving the military, police, Civil Defence, DSS, Immigration, and Anambra Vigilante Group (AVG) — are ongoing across the state.
