Tottenham Hotspur suffered a shocking 3–1 home defeat to Crystal Palace after Dutch defender Micky van de Ven was sent off, triggering a dramatic collapse in north London.
The hosts seemed on course for a long-awaited victory when England striker Dominic Solanke gave Spurs the lead in the 34th minute with a close-range finish.
However, just four minutes later, van de Ven was shown a red card for pulling down Ismaila Sarr after misjudging the flight of the ball.
Crystal Palace capitalised on the numerical advantage, scoring three times in a 12-minute first-half burst. Sarr converted the resulting penalty in the 40th minute to level the match. January signing Jørgen Strand Larsen fired Palace ahead in first-half stoppage time with a precise pass from Adam Wharton. Sarr then grabbed his second moments later after another defence-splitting delivery from Wharton, sealing the stunning turnaround.
The win marks Palace’s first consecutive league victories at Tottenham and boosts their morale as they climb to 13th in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Spurs remain winless in 2026 and sit 16th, just one point above the relegation zone. The defeat extends their losing streak to five league matches and leaves them without a top-flight win in 11 games, a first since 1975.
Tottenham now faces a challenging schedule, with a Premier League trip to Liverpool FC on March 15 and a UEFA Champions League Round of 16 clash against Atlético Madrid next week.
