Tiwa Savage and Yemi Alade Reconcile After Seven-Year Rift

Emotional reunion takes place at Entertainment Week Africa as stars exchange praises and hugs.

Nigerian music stars Tiwa Savage and Yemi Alade have finally settled their differences after a seven-year feud that once played out publicly on social media.

The reconciliation happened on Thursday in Lagos during “The Price of Being Her” panel organised as part of Entertainment Week Africa.

Their disagreement began years ago when Yemi Alade subtly accused some female entertainers of editing their body figures to mislead fans, shortly after Tiwa Savage shared photos showing off her curves. Tiwa fired back at the time, warning Yemi not to “start a war you can’t finish,” sparking a long-running rift between both singers.

However, the pair put their past behind them at the event. In a video that has now gone viral, Yemi Alade praised Tiwa for her resilience and influence in the industry.

“I honestly want you to know that those moments you get rugged and do what you truly want to do, you are standing up for many females. Just continue being you. You are literally walking in strength,” she said.

Tiwa, visibly emotional, was later seen singing alongside Alade and sharing a heartfelt hug after the session, sealing the long-awaited reunion.

Their reconciliation has been widely celebrated by fans who have long hoped to see the two music giants unite again.
