Bola Tinubu has congratulated Nigerian industrialist Aliko Dangote on his birthday, praising his significant contributions to Nigeria’s and Africa’s economic and industrial development.
In a statement issued on Friday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu described Dangote as a leading example of African enterprise whose investments have transformed key sectors of the economy.
“Aliko’s entrepreneurial vision, resilience, innovation, and commitment to excellence have transformed industries and positioned Nigeria as a hub for large-scale petrochemical and cement production,” the president said.
Tinubu highlighted several landmark projects spearheaded by Dangote, including the Dangote Refinery and the conglomerate’s petrochemical operations. He also referenced the wide network of cement production facilities operated by Dangote Cement across Africa, noting their role in job creation and infrastructure development.
“I salute Aliko for his conglomerate’s role in job creation, infrastructure development, and unwavering belief in the Nigerian economy and its potential,” the statement added.
The president also commended the humanitarian activities carried out through the Aliko Dangote Foundation, describing the organisation as a major contributor to social development initiatives across the country.
“I also applaud Aliko’s philanthropic efforts… which have significantly impacted lives in health, education, and poverty alleviation,” Tinubu said.
The president concluded by offering prayers for the industrialist’s continued wellbeing and success.
“As Aliko marks another year, I pray for his continued good health, wisdom, and greater accomplishments in service to Nigeria, Africa, and humanity,” he said.
