Governor Chukwuma Soludo has approved the appointment of key officials and special advisers to serve in various capacities within the Anambra State Government, in a move aimed at consolidating governance and improving service delivery.
The appointments were announced in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Christian Aburime, and span critical sectors including administration, justice, health, innovation, and community security.
Among the new appointees is Ngozi Iwouno, who will serve as Head of Service, while Tobechukwu Nweke (SAN) has been appointed as Attorney-General of the state.
Also named are Joachin Anetoh as Principal Secretary to the Governor, Ben Nwankwo as Chief of Staff, and Frank-Collins Okafor as State Chief of Protocol.
Other appointments include Aburime, who continues in his role as Chief Press Secretary, Vincent Okechi as Deputy Chief of Staff, and Ngozi Lucy Okoye as Deputy State Chief of Protocol.
The governor also named several special advisers to support policy implementation and governance delivery. They include Godwin Nnadozie (Medicals and Pharmaceuticals), Chinwe Okoli (Innovation and Business Incubation), Ebuka Nwankwo (Special Projects), and Ken Emeakayi (Community Security).
The appointments are part of ongoing efforts by the Soludo administration to deepen reforms, strengthen institutional capacity, and enhance governance outcomes across the state.
Governor Soludo, who recently secured a second term in office, has consistently emphasised continuity in governance and the delivery of his development agenda. At his inauguration, he reaffirmed his commitment to economic transformation, improved security, and infrastructure development.
In a recent media engagement, the governor highlighted progress in key sectors, particularly security and investment, while reiterating his resolve to sustain ongoing reforms.
The latest appointments also follow recent steps by the administration to promote inclusivity in governance, including the appointment of Chiamaka Nnake as the first female Secretary to the State Government.
