Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has pledged enhanced support for the Nigerian Army in fulfilling its constitutional duty of protecting the nation’s territorial integrity.

He made the remarks on Monday at the 2025 Chief of Army Staff Annual Conference held in Lagos, where he also commended the army’s efforts in safeguarding the country.

“The nation sees the officers and values what they offer,” the governor said, urging participants at the conference to engage with openness and transparency during deliberations.

The conference, themed “Examining the Current Landscape of Terrorism Through the Lenses of Diplomatic and Military Action Strategy for Long-term Prevention and Stabilisation,” brought together top government and military officials, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, the Minister of Defence General Christopher Musa (retd.), and the service chiefs.

Sanwo-Olu’s address highlighted the importance of collaboration between state governments and the military in addressing security challenges and strengthening national resilience.
