Sanwo-Olu, in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Gboyega Akosile, described the revered cleric, who clocked 84 on Monday, as a respected global preacher.

He noted that Adeboye’s unblemished record of service in God’s kingdom over several decades has made him a role model to many religious leaders and Christians.

The governor described the renowned cleric as an epitome of honesty, dedication and selfless service. He added that as the second National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Adeboye has raised millions of committed followers of Jesus Christ within the RCCG and beyond.

“Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye is a true ambassador of God. He has been a blessing not just to the Redeemed Christian Church of God but also to us in Lagos State and the country,” Sanwo-Olu said.
