RwandAir, a leading African airline, has announced its strategic partnership with the Organisers of Accra Weizo to promote travel and tourism across the West African region. The announcement comes ahead of the 8th edition of Accra Weizo, scheduled for June 27, 2025, in Ghana.
Accra Weizo, a signature West African Travel Expo launched in 2015 by Akwaaba African Travel Market, focuses on enhancing seamless travel in West Africa.
The 2025 event is being organised in collaboration with the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) and the Ghana Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC), and will host a Tour Operators Forum with participants from across the region.
RwandAir has been flying into Accra since July 2013, operating Boeing 737 aircraft on three weekly flights—Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
The route connects Ghana to RwandAir’s expansive network via its hub at Kigali International Airport, linking travelers to destinations in Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
The airline’s global presence is further strengthened by its strategic alliance with Qatar Airways, enhancing international connectivity.
In West Africa, RwandAir’s collaboration with Africa World Airlines supports its commitment to improved regional access and intra-African travel.
In a parallel move to support the expo, the Royal Senchi Hotel & Resort, a top luxury destination in West Africa, has partnered with Akwaaba African Travel Market for the 8th edition of Accra Weizo.
Located on the banks of the Volta River in Akosombo, the Royal Senchi is known for its blend of natural elegance, traditional architecture, and modern comfort.
Together, these partnerships signal growing private-sector support for building a robust tourism ecosystem in West Africa.
