It’s official—Purp is the new Nigerian Idol!
In a dazzling live finale on Sunday night, Purp triumphed over fellow finalist Raymu to become the Season 10 champion of the iconic music reality show.
The grand finale, hosted by the ever-charismatic IK Osakioduwa, delivered unforgettable moments, from star-studded guest appearances and emotional musical tributes to electrifying performances by the finalists.
While both finalists captivated audiences, it was Purp’s stage presence, vocal prowess, and nationwide appeal that clinched the title. Viewers across Nigeria voted in droves, crowning her the rightful winner of the milestone season.
As part of her victory, Purp receives:

Fighting back tears, Purp gave a heartfelt acceptance speech:

The journey to stardom began with online auditions open to Nigerians aged 16–30, closing on February 2. After weeks of intense performances starting May 25, the Top 10 contestants — Mikki, Raymu, Ellacentric, Kristopher, Sally, Boss Lady, Brammy, Jkenova, Lawrence, and Purp — competed fiercely for the crown.
