President Tinubu Addresses Key Government Officials at 2023 Cabinet Retreat, Vows to Rebuild Economy, Prioritize Healthcare, Education

President Bola Tinubu has called for unity and collaboration, highlighting that the President is the leader of all Nigerians, irrespective of political affiliations, religious beliefs, or ethnic backgrounds. In address to top government functionaries and Ministers attending a Cabinet retreat at the State House Conference Centre in Abuja, the President expressed his belief in the possibility of a great and greater Nigeria under the collective commitment and guidance of the government.

In his address marked by a resolute determination to rebuild the Nigerian economy and renew hope among the country’s citizens, the President underscored the importance of serving the people and achieving results. He highlighted the government’s priorities, including healthcare and education, which are seen as essential in the fight against poverty.

He urged on the need to focus on progress, make bold endeavors, and take pride in being Nigerians. He stressed that the country’s challenges, such as climate change, desert encroachment, and poverty, could be overcome with determination and practical solutions.

The President mentioned recent interactions with international partners, such as the Republic of Germany, and emphasized the importance of removing obstacles to foreign investments in Nigeria. He also introduced the Result Delivery Unit and the commitment to achieving results for the benefit of millions of Nigerians.

He  also emphasized on the need for practical determination, focused evaluation, and collaboration. He urged government officials not to be afraid of making decisions and to engage in constructive debates when needed. He acknowledged the importance of the great minds and intellectuals in the government.

President Tinubu concluded by declaring the retreat open, setting the stage for meaningful discussions and the charting of a path for Nigeria’s progress and prosperity. He called on all attendees to look forward and be determined to achieve progress, combat corruption, and improve the welfare of workers and citizens.
