A Panama‑flagged cargo vessel, the Dura Bulk, sank off the coast of Western Sahara, Morocco’s transport ministry announced on Sunday.

The ship went down on Saturday after reporting water ingress while en route to Laayoune’s port in Western Sahara. The vessel was carrying clinker, a crucial component in cement production.

Authorities confirmed that all crew members have been rescued safely. An investigation into the incident has been launched to determine the cause of the sinking, the ministry said.
