Galatasaray held their nerve in Turin on Wednesday, fending off a dramatic comeback from 10-man Juventus as Victor Osimhen scored in extra time to secure a 7-5 aggregate victory, sending the Turkish club into the UEFA Champions League last 16.

After dominating the first leg in Istanbul with a 5-2 win, Galatasaray arrived at the Allianz Stadium with a significant advantage. Juventus reignited hope with Manuel Locatelli’s first-half penalty, but the visitors’ position strengthened when Lloyd Kelly was sent off early in the second half, leaving Juventus with 10 men.

Despite being a player down, Juventus staged a remarkable fightback, with Federico Gatti and Weston McKennie leveling the aggregate score to force extra time. Yet, Galatasaray’s composure proved decisive: Osimhen’s clinical finish restored the visitors’ lead, and Barış Alper Yılmaz added a late goal to extinguish Juventus’ hopes.

Galatasaray will now face either Liverpool or Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League last 16, marking a historic European milestone for the Istanbul club.
