Following the passing of Abdul Kolawole Imoyo, the former Media head at Access Bank on December 17th, 2023, Access Corporation has appointed Mr. Olakunle Aderinokun as the new Head of Media and Public Relations.
Mr. Aderinokun made the announcement of his appointment via his LinkedIn handle, where he expressed his pleasure in assuming the new role. Prior to joining Access Corporation, he served as the Editor at Arise News Channel, where he demonstrated his expertise in selecting, cutting, and assembling video footage into coherent sequences that effectively conveyed the intended message.
“I’m pleased to share that I’ve resumed a new position as Head, Media and Public Relations at Access Corporation,” Mr. Aderinokun stated.
Described as a detail-oriented journalist with a knack for balance in creativity and results, Mr. Aderinokun brings a wealth of experience to his new role. Throughout his journalism career, he has conducted interviews with top CEOs from both private and public sectors and has traveled extensively to attend various workshops and conferences, including the IMF-World Bank meetings and Africa Oil Week.
Mr. Aderinokun’s professional journey began at First Marina Trust Ltd as an MIS and Account, followed by a stint at Wall Street Trust Company as an Analyst. He then served as a Banking Officer at United Bank for Africa Plc before founding Pure Synergy. Later, he worked at ThisDay Newspaper Group as an Associate Editor and Group Business Editor, where he was responsible for editing and writing business stories and analyses.
With a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Ilorin and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Lagos, Mr. Aderinokun brings a diverse skill set and a strong educational background to his new role at Access Corporation. His appointment is expected to further enhance the company’s media and public relations strategies.
