Nigerian entrepreneur Obinna Iyiegbu, widely known as Obi Cubana, has expressed confidence that the second term of Charles Soludo will fast-track development in Anambra State.
Soludo secured re-election in the November 2025 governorship poll conducted across 5,718 polling units, polling 422,664 votes to defeat his closest rival, Nicholas Ukachukwu of the All Progressives Congress, who garnered 99,445 votes.
The governor was officially sworn in for a second term on Tuesday, in a ceremony attended by political leaders, business figures, and traditional rulers.
In a personally signed statement, Obi Cubana described Soludo’s victory as a clear vote of confidence from the people of Anambra, noting that it reflects widespread approval of his leadership style and governance approach.
He stated that the renewed mandate offers the governor an opportunity to consolidate ongoing reforms and accelerate development across critical sectors of the state’s economy.
According to the entrepreneur, Soludo’s administration has introduced a renewed vision and strategic direction for Anambra, with a strong focus on economic transformation, infrastructure renewal, and human capital development.
Obi Cubana added that these priorities align with the aspirations of the people of Anambra, both within the state and in the diaspora.
He further expressed optimism that the governor’s second term would deepen policies aimed at strengthening the business environment, improving infrastructure, and promoting industrialisation.
The businessman emphasised that sustained collaboration between the government, private sector players, and community stakeholders would be essential in unlocking the state’s full economic potential and creating more opportunities for young people.
He also commended the people of Anambra State for their continued commitment to democratic governance, praising them for reaffirming their trust in the Soludo administration through the electoral process.
