NNPCL Warns Public Against Fraudsters Soliciting Fees for Fake Meetings

He emphasized that foreign investors and international business organizations should be particularly cautious and report any suspicious approaches to the appropriate authorities.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has issued a strong warning to the public against fraudulent individuals and groups claiming to represent the company for unauthorized dealings.

In a statement released on Monday, NNPCL spokesperson Olufemi Soneye disclosed that these individuals have been soliciting fees from unsuspecting victims in exchange for arranging meetings with the NNPCL board of directors, executives, and management staff.

“The general public is advised to beware of individuals and companies falsely claiming to represent NNPC Limited. Their tactics include soliciting fees for meetings with the NNPC board of directors, executives, and management staff. These actions are unauthorised and illegal,” Soneye stated.

Soneye clarified that all official dealings with NNPCL are conducted strictly through its verified business units and channels.

“NNPC Limited remains committed to transparency, integrity, and the protection of our stakeholders in all interactions. Let’s work together to prevent scams. Stay alert and share this notice,” he concluded.
