Imane Khelif, Algeria’s Olympic Gold Medalist and professional boxer, will share the spotlight with Nigeria’s sports legends at the highly anticipated CANEX 2024, a vibrant celebration of African excellence in sports, entertainment, and culture.

Kicking off on October 16, CANEX 2024 promises an unforgettable experience featuring renowned sports personalities, celebrities, and industry experts.

Joining Khelif will be prominent Nigerian figures, including Valentine Ozigbo, Director of the World Freestyle Football Association, as well as participants in the exhilarating Freestyle Football Championship showcasing Africa’s top talents.

This year’s event will highlight Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage with live performances from music sensation Qing Madi and culinary demonstrations by celebrated chef Chef Stone, offering a taste of African cuisine.

The lineup also includes notable speakers such as Ndidi Nwuneli, Founder of African Food Changemakers, and H.E. Hannatu Musa Musawa, Minister of Art, Culture, and the Creative Economy of Nigeria. Insightful sessions led by Pops Mensah-Bonsu, President of New York Knicks Minor League Operations, and Dr. Ali Nuhu, Managing Director of Nigeria Film Corporation, will add depth to the conference.

Exciting sessions like “United in Culture: Prosperity through Shared Cultural Heritage” and “Collective Disruption: Strengthening the Fashion and Textile Ecosystem” will explore pivotal themes for Africa’s future. Additionally, “Globalised Strategies for Strengthening Intellectual Property Rights Protection” will address the importance of safeguarding intellectual property, while “Catalyzing African Renaissance: The Confluence of Sports, Entertainment, and Development” will delve into the intersection of these vital sectors for Africa’s growth.

Emerging filmmakers will also get their moment in the spotlight with CANEX Shorts Screenings, showcasing fresh perspectives from across the continent.

CANEX 2024 is set to be a dynamic celebration, providing a platform for meaningful discussions, electrifying performances, and cultural exchange.
