Starting Sunday, June 8, 2025, Nigerians will face increased fees for acquiring driver’s licences and number plates, following a recent approval by the Joint Tax Board (JTB). The apex tax body has officially announced new rates in a bid to reflect upgraded security features and escalating production costs.

Articulated vehicle number plate – ₦90,000
Dealer vehicle number plate – ₦100,000
Out-of-series number plate – ₦150,000
