The Nigerian Army has officially opened the online application process for the 89th Regular Recruits Intake for tradesmen, non-tradesmen, and women. The announcement, made via the Army’s official social media handle on Tuesday, invites all interested candidates to apply for enlistment into the prestigious force.
The application period runs from March 31 to May 17, 2025, and candidates can complete their registration on the official Army recruitment website at recruitment.army.mil.ng. Applicants are reminded that the application is free and should only be submitted once. Any multiple applications will lead to automatic disqualification.
After the online application period, shortlisted candidates will be invited for a screening exercise, which will take place from June 2 to June 16, 2025, in their respective states of origin.
To be eligible for the recruitment, candidates must meet several criteria. They must be Nigerian citizens by birth, possess a valid National Identity Card (NIN) and BVN print-out, and be in good health, meeting both the physical and psychological fitness standards outlined by the Nigerian Army. Additionally, applicants must not have any prior criminal convictions.
The Army has also specified height requirements: male candidates must be at least 1.68 meters tall, and female candidates must be at least 1.65 meters tall. Applicants must provide a valid birth certificate or an age declaration and a certificate of state of origin to complete their application.
This recruitment initiative offers an exciting opportunity for Nigerians to serve their country and join the ranks of the Nigerian Army. Interested candidates are urged to visit the recruitment portal and follow the outlined application steps before the closing date.
