Mr Eazi Hints Music Alone Couldn’t Fund Wedding to Temi Otedola

“U think sey music go fit pay for that wedding my G? lol.”

Nigerian singer Oluwatosin Ajibade, popularly known as Mr Eazi, has hinted that his music earnings alone could not have covered the cost of his wedding to billionaire heiress Temi Otedola.

The Afrobeat star made the disclosure during an interaction with fans on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, two weeks after tying the knot with Temi, daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, in a private ceremony in Reykjavík, Iceland.

A fan had teased that Mr Eazi released his new track, Cassanova, to recoup wedding expenses. Responding, the singer wrote:

“U think sey music go fit pay for that wedding my G? lol.”

Another fan suggested that Mr Eazi’s music earnings from 2017–2018 could have funded the wedding multiple times. The fan tweeted:

“Say ‘my music now’ because 2017-18 Mr Eazi music go do that wedding as many times as possible. No forget say you were once a taker.”

Reacting, the 34-year-old singer admitted that period was ironically his “brokest” despite releasing some of his biggest hits, including tracks from his acclaimed mixtape Life Is Eazi, Vol. 1 – Accra to Lagos.

“You got a point tho, but 2017-18 is the brokest I’ve been in the last 9 years! But all the music I put out then enter like mad sha. I’m really thankful,” he wrote.
