Morocco’s tourism industry marked a historic milestone in 2025, welcoming a record 19.8 million visitors—a 14% increase compared to the previous year.
The surge highlights the sector’s growing contribution to the economy, accounting for roughly 7% of GDP while serving as a key source of employment and foreign exchange. Between January and November 2025, tourism revenue climbed to $13.5 billion, reflecting a 19% year-on-year increase.
Industry experts attribute this momentum to expanded air links with major international markets, aggressive promotion of emerging destinations, and investments in new and renovated hotels across the country.
Looking ahead, Morocco is setting ambitious targets, aiming to attract 26 million tourists by 2030 as the nation prepares to co-host the FIFA World Cup alongside Spain and Portugal.
