Manchester United have officially ruled out any possibility of signing Real Madrid legend Sergio Ramos in the upcoming January transfer window.
Reports had speculated that the Red Devils might pursue a surprise deal for Ramos, who recently became a free agent after leaving Mexican club Monterrey earlier this month.
However, according to ESPN, Manchester United have “no interest” in bringing the 39-year-old defender to Old Trafford and are not considering a sensational transfer.
Ramos boasts an illustrious career, having won one World Cup, two European Championships, four UEFA Champions League titles, and five La Liga titles.
Meanwhile, Manchester United is expected to focus on signing new players in January to strengthen manager Ruben Amorim’s squad for the second half of the season.
