The offices of Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu have dismissed reports circulating on online platforms and blogs suggesting a rift between him and his Ogun State counterpart, Prince Dapo Abiodun.
According to an official statement, any notion of disagreement between the two leaders “exists only in the imagination of the purveyors of fake news and agents of disunity.” The statement emphasized that the relationship between Sanwo-Olu and Abiodun is warm, cordial, and brotherly.
The two governors reportedly meet regularly and maintain frequent communication on matters related to the development of their states and the welfare of their citizens. Lagos and Ogun states, which share common boundaries, are also connected through deep socio-cultural ties.
The statement warned those spreading false narratives to desist, reiterating that both governors are united by a common goal: improving the lives of their people.
