Lagos Gears Up for LCCI International Business Conference and Expo 2023: “Invest Nigeria”

The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment, is set to host the highly anticipated 2023 LCCI International Business Conference & Expo, themed “Invest Nigeria.” With participation from approximately 80 countries worldwide, the event promises to be a groundbreaking platform for economic engagement and partnership.

Scheduled to take place on August 29th and 30th, 2023, at the prestigious Eko Hotel and Suites on Victoria Island, Lagos, the conference aims to foster international trade relations, showcase Nigeria’s investment potential, and facilitate the exchange of innovative ideas across various industries.

The highlight of the event will be the signing of pivotal investment agreements between Nigeria and numerous other countries. These agreements are poised to strengthen economic ties and promote bilateral cooperation for mutual growth. Additionally, the conference will introduce ten Unicorn Companies, representing the pinnacle of innovative and high-growth enterprises, to the Nigerian economy. This move is expected to infuse fresh dynamism into the local business landscape.

One of the pivotal sessions of the conference, the Business Forum, will feature key stakeholders including the Presidency, State Government officials, Diplomats, leaders from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment, and prominent figures from the organized private sector. This platform will serve as a stage for discussing strategic partnerships, policy frameworks, and investment opportunities.

Preceding the keynote address, the Governor’s session will provide an invaluable opportunity for five State Governors to address the audience. Each governor will elucidate the investment prospects within their respective states, highlighting available incentives and initiatives designed to attract both local and international investors.

The event will also comprise ten targeted Business-to-Business (B2B) sessions focused on crucial sectors such as Oil and Gas, Manufacturing, Agriculture, Fintech, Textile, and Creative Arts. These sessions will foster in-depth discussions, knowledge exchange, and potential collaboration among industry experts and stakeholders.

Four Government-to-Government meetings are slated to take place during the conference, facilitating direct interactions between representatives of the Nigerian government and counterparts from other countries. These meetings are anticipated to pave the way for policy coordination and cross-border cooperation on matters of mutual interest.

The Expo section will be a vibrant space filled with delegates and exhibitors from diverse countries. This will provide an avenue for showcasing innovative products, services, and solutions from around the world, enhancing cross-cultural interaction and networking.

The 2023 LCCI International Business Conference and Expo holds great promise in redefining Nigeria’s role on the global economic stage. As the world converges in Lagos, participants can expect a two-day immersion in investment opportunities, innovation, and strategic collaborations that will shape the future of the Nigerian economy.
