Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has vowed to initiate fresh legal action against her colleague, Lizzy Anjorin, over alleged defamatory remarks and threats directed at her family.
The renewed legal threat comes months after the Lagos State High Court, Osborne Division, struck out Ojo’s ₦1 billion defamation suit against Anjorin on procedural grounds, further ordering Ojo’s lawyer, Olabimpe Ajegbomogun, to pay ₦500,000 costs to Anjorin’s counsel, Ademola Olabiyi.
Both actresses have been locked in a long-running feud, playing out across social media and the courts. Anjorin has frequently used Facebook live streams to taunt Ojo, sparking parody videos on TikTok and Facebook.
In a Monday Instagram post, Ojo confirmed her legal team is actively documenting Anjorin’s remarks.
“My legal team isn’t sleeping. They are taking note of everything. A wise person listens to learned counsel. Everything has its timing,” she wrote.
While Ojo admitted to finding some parody videos amusing, she expressed deep concern about Anjorin’s alleged insults, curses, and death wishes, particularly those involving her grandson. “Most times, I struggle to hold my peace, but I choose to ignore the distractions. Who God has blessed, no one can curse,” she said.
Ojo, who recently welcomed her first grandchild, hinted she would take firmer legal steps upon her return to Lagos. Her feud with Anjorin escalated after a fire incident at her Lagos office, which her daughter, Priscilla, linked to ongoing threats, including a May letter claiming their movements were under surveillance.
Ojo has previously alleged that her fallout with Anjorin began after she publicly expressed support for Folashade Tinubu, wife of Anjorin’s husband, which she said triggered waves of attacks and accusations.
The bitter rivalry, marked by petitions, lawsuits, and online hostilities, remains one of Nollywood’s most contentious public feuds.
