Nigerian actress and reality TV star Beverly Osu has expressed frustration over what she described as years of being underpaid in the entertainment industry.
Speaking in a recent episode of the Ghacha’s Chough Podcast, Osu said she believes her extensive career portfolio should have made her a billionaire by now.
The actress explained that her journey across multiple sectors of the entertainment industry demonstrates the level of work she has put in over the years.
“I have worked so hard, my portfolio is enough to make me a billionaire not just in Nigeria but in Africa,” she said.
Osu added that despite her achievements, the financial rewards have not matched her contributions.
“I am a very humble person but I know that my portfolio is enough to make me a billionaire. So, I am fighting for better wages,” she stated.
According to the movie star, she has explored several roles within the entertainment space, including working as a luxury model, video vixen, reality television personality and actress.
“I have tried different facets of the entertainment industry. From being a luxury model to video vixen to reality TV star and now actor. I have paid my dues,” she said.
Osu rose to prominence after appearing on Big Brother Africa, which helped launch her career in acting and modeling.
Her comments add to ongoing discussions about compensation and fair pay within the Nigerian entertainment industry.
