“God Performed Surgery on Me”: Chidinma Ekile Recounts 40-Day Spiritual Journey and Battle with Darkness

The singer’s bold testimony has resonated widely with fans and faith communities, sparking praise for her honesty, strength, and resilience in the face of darkness.

Chidinma Ekile, Nigerian gospel singer and former Project Fame winner, has revealed details of a powerful 40-day spiritual retreat that involved fasting, solitude, and intense prayer.

In an emotional testimony, Chidinma said she withdrew from the world to seek God’s guidance, during which she had deep spiritual encounters and faced profound personal challenges.

“It was more like I was in a theatre and God performed surgery on me and He shredded me,” Chidinma shared.

She described the experience as one filled with emotional turmoil and intense internal conflict, but also a unique closeness to God. The singer said she spent her nights outdoors, worshipping and praying through the night, fully immersed in her quest for spiritual clarity.

However, the journey wasn’t without spiritual warfare. Chidinma recounted a chilling moment on a cliff at night, where she was tempted by a malevolent voice to end her life.

“The devil took me to the top of a cliff at night where everywhere was dark. And right there, he asked me to jump,” she said.
“When I was about to jump, I noticed that I was barricaded. It was impossible to jump. Something was just there.”

According to Chidinma, the divine intervention at that critical moment saved her from tragedy, and affirmed her renewed faith and purpose.

“I have seen it all, and material things don’t move me anymore,” she added, stressing that her encounter reshaped her spiritual outlook.

The singer’s bold testimony has resonated widely with fans and faith communities, sparking praise for her honesty, strength, and resilience in the face of darkness.

Chidinma transitioned fully into gospel music in 2021 and has since become a prominent voice in Christian ministry, using her platform to share messages of healing, deliverance, and divine love.
