Former NANTA President Susan Akporiaye Mourns Mum Mrs. Favour Onwionoko (née Uno)

Former President of the National Association of Nigerian Travel Agents (NANTA), Susan Akporiaye, has announced the passing of her beloved mother, Mrs. Favour Onwionoko (nee Uno), affectionately known as Iya Igbogbo Eko. Born on July 18, 1951, Mrs. Onwionoko was called to glory on April 17, 2024.

Mrs. Favour Onwionoko’s passing leaves a tremendous void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Friends and loved ones have described her as a woman of remarkable character, whose rich legacy is a testament to her extraordinary life.

Known for her unique and outstanding personality, the late Mrs. Onwionoko embodied an enviable degree of love, kindness, generosity, patience, and goodness. Her perennial smile lit up any room she entered, spreading happiness that was contagious. Her unwavering commitment to going above and beyond for her loved ones did not go unnoticed.

Throughout her life, she imparted valuable wisdom and life lessons, emphasizing the importance of treating others with respect and maintaining a thankful attitude in all circumstances. Above all, she passionately propagated her knowledge and love for God and His kingdom, living by these principles every day.

Mrs. Onwionoko will be deeply missed by her husband, children, grandchildren, and church family, who cherished her dearly. She was a beacon of light and a pillar of strength around whom the family flourished. Her profound legacy and the countless memories she shared with her loved ones will continue to live on in their hearts.

Mrs. Favour Onwionoko is survived by her husband, Effiong Samson Okwong Onwionoko, and her children: Samson Onwionoko, Mercy Ezenwa, Benjamin Onwionoko, Susan Akon Akporiaye, and Gloria Styles. She is also survived by her sons- and daughters-in-law: Nnaemeka Ezenwa, Sumbo Onwionoko, Raymond Akporiaye, and Tope Onwionoko, as well as her grandchildren: Daniel Onwionoko, Nathaniel Onwionoko, Haniel Onwionoko, Chisom Okoye, Tobechukwu Ezenwa, Emmanuel Ezenwa, Kosisochukwu Ezenwa, David Onwionoko, Jessica Onwionoko, Darien Onwionoko, Juanita Akporiaye, Chloe Akporiaye, Nathan Akporiaye, Odalis Styles, Alexis Styles, and Mikalis Styles. She also leaves behind her grandson-in-law, Chibueze Okoye.
