Five Super Falcons players — Chiamaka Nnadozie, Michelle Alozie, Ashleigh Plumptre, Christy Ucheibe and Rasheedat Ajibade — have been named in the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) Women’s Africa Best XI for 2025.
The prestigious selection was published on the official IFFHS website.
Goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, defenders Michelle Alozie and Ashleigh Plumptre, midfielder Christy Ucheibe, and forward Rasheedat Ajibade were recognised for their outstanding performances at club and international levels over the year.
Nnadozie, Alozie, Plumptre and Ajibade were key members of the Super Falcons squad that clinched the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title in Morocco.
Nnadozie, Alozie and Ajibade were further honoured with inclusion in the Team of the Tournament following their impressive displays during the competition.
The Best XI also features South African duo Bambanani Mbane and Lebohang Ramalepe, highlighting the depth of talent across the continent.
Other players named in the team include Morocco’s Ghizlane Chebbak, who was crowned the 2025 CAF African Women’s Player of the Year, Malawi’s prolific forward Temwa Chawinga, Zambia’s star striker Barbra Banda, and Morocco’s Sanaâ Mssoudy.
The recognition reinforces Nigeria’s dominance in African women’s football and reflects the Super Falcons’ continued influence on the continental stage.
