The Federal Government, through the Office of the Head of the Civil Service and the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF), has flagged off a nationwide sensitization campaign for civil servants. The initiative aims to deepen awareness and accelerate the implementation of the Employees’ Compensation Scheme across the federal civil service.
According to a statement by the NSITF, the campaign aligns with the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan 2025. The sensitization is designed to ensure that all public sector workers understand and benefit from the scheme.
The Managing Director of NSITF led a delegation to the Office of the Head of Service last Thursday to formally launch the campaign.
Mrs. Esther Walson-Jack, the Head of the Federal Civil Service, welcomed the team and expressed her full support. She assured the NSITF of her office’s commitment to the initiative, emphasizing the importance of protecting public servants through compensation and workplace safety provisions.
The campaign will be rolled out service-wide, with workshops, educational materials, and stakeholder engagement sessions planned in ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) nationwide.
