Fans Flock to “CR7 LIFE Museum” in Hong Kong as Cristiano Ronaldo’s Legacy Takes Centre Stage

The Hong Kong leg of the CR7 LIFE Museum is expected to run for one year, after which the exhibition will move to mainland China as part of a larger international tour.

Football fans in Hong Kong gathered in droves on July 7, 2025, for the grand opening of the CR7 LIFE Museum, an immersive exhibition dedicated to the career and legacy of global football icon Cristiano Ronaldo.

Hosted at a luxury shopping mall, the museum features life-sized statues of Ronaldo in various iconic poses — from his signature mid-air celebration to a version clad in traditional Saudi dress, symbolising his current stint at Al Nassr Football Club in Saudi Arabia.

“Cristiano Ronaldo is my idol… he’s special,” said 14-year-old Alvin Lai, who was first in line among over 100 eager fans.

Inside the 12,000-square-foot museum, fans can view personal memorabilia including Ronaldo’s Golden Boot, exclusive portraits, and a showcase of his illustrious five Ballon d’Or awards.

Ronaldo’s brother, Hugo dos Santos Aveiro, was present at the opening, posing for photos and handing out autographed jerseys to lucky visitors.

“He’s the most hardworking person out there,” said university student Henry Singh. “He’s 40 years old and still going very strong.”

The museum was unveiled just weeks after Ronaldo signed a new two-year deal with Al Nassr, calling it a “new chapter” via Instagram. The club is also scheduled to play in a pre-season tournament in Hong Kong next month.

Speaking on behalf of the Ronaldo family office, Tomas Froes said the exhibit was designed to inspire young people to chase their dreams, describing it as a “strong message for everyone.”
