Political momentum is intensifying ahead of the 2027 general elections as the Epe Division Stakeholders Forum publicly declared its support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the gubernatorial comeback of former Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.
Speaking during a consultative meeting with political and community leaders in Epe, the forum’s coordinator, Mr. Adewale Kazeem, urged Lagosians across all divisions to rally behind Ambode’s return to office, citing his impactful leadership and governance record.
“Lagos deserves a forward-thinking and people-oriented leader like Akinwunmi Ambode,” Kazeem stated.
“He served with integrity, transparency, and outstanding performance. His developmental strides are still visible across the state, particularly in infrastructure and public service delivery.”
Kazeem emphasized Ambode’s lasting contributions to both Epe Division and Lagos State at large, describing his leadership as visionary, inclusive, and unmatched. He added that Ambode’s return would reinvigorate economic growth, social development, and good governance in the state.
The forum also threw its weight behind President Tinubu’s bid for a second term, praising his current administration’s reforms, which they say are beginning to show positive results.
“President Tinubu’s reforms are beginning to yield positive results,” said Kazeem.
“His second term is crucial for consolidating gains and completing key national projects. Nigerians must rally behind him to ensure a successful finish.”
The forum’s dual endorsement signals a renewed push for political alignment within Lagos State ahead of 2027, especially from influential grassroots blocs in the Epe region.
