Nigerian Afrobeats superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has gifted his wife, Chioma, a brand-new 2025 Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon.
The luxury SUV, which recently hit the global market, is priced at over $150,000 (₦240 million), depending on specifications. The 2025 model boasts a sleek redesign and electric options, making it one of the most sought-after SUVs this year.
In a video posted on his Instagram Story on Wednesday, Davido was seen hyping the moment as he picked up the vehicle. He explained how he traded in a previous model and added more funds to secure the latest release.
“First of all, we had to take the one I got, then obviously add more money to get the new one,” he revealed.
Cheering as he handed the SUV over to his wife, Davido declared with excitement: “Only the best for my lady. We do 2025!” Chioma was visibly thrilled by the gesture.
The grand gift comes just weeks after Davido and Chioma sealed their highly publicised marriage with a star-studded white wedding in Miami on August 10, 2025. The lavish event, which followed their court marriage in March 2023 and traditional wedding in Lagos in June 2024, reportedly cost about $3.7 million. It was attended by top entertainers, political figures, and business moguls from Nigeria and beyond.
