The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has re-elected Cornelius Ojelabi as its state chairman for a second term.
Ojelabi, a pastor and former Commissioner for Rural Development in Lagos State, was returned to office following a consensus reached by party leaders during the congress held at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena.
Notable APC stalwarts in attendance included Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his deputy, Obafemi Hamzat; former Governor Akinwunmi Ambode; members of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), and other party officials.
Wale Ajetunmobi, Special Assistant on Media to Governor Sanwo-Olu, confirmed the development on his “X” page (formerly Twitter), stating: “Lagos APC returns Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi as chairman for another term during the State party congress held at Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, today.”
The re-election signals continuity in the leadership of the party’s Lagos State chapter as it prepares for upcoming political engagements and strategic initiatives.
