In an effort to deepen trade and investment relations between Nigeria, Belgium, and Luxembourg, the CBL-ACP Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Embassy of Belgium in Nigeria, will host two high-level Business Receptions in the country come April 2025. The events are set to hold in Lagos on 8 April 2025 and Abuja on 10 April 2025.
President, CBL-ACP, Jacques Massart,
The Nigeria Belgium Luxembourg Business Forum (NBLBF), the organizer of these exclusive events, has positioned the Business Receptions as a stepping stone toward expanding trade opportunities.
These meetings are also set to bring together a diverse group of CEOs, top government officials, business leaders, investors, and policymakers across sectors, paving the way for greater collaboration.
The focus of these receptions will be to spotlight Nigeria’s non-oil sectors, which have seen impressive growth, including a remarkable 20% surge in non-oil exports in 2024.
Meanwhile, key industries such as manufacturing, agriculture, technology, maritime, and logistics will be highlighted, presenting investment potential for both Nigerian and European businesses.
Jacques Massart, President of CBL-ACP, emphasized the importance of these engagements stating:
“With Nigeria’s export diversification gaining momentum, now is the time to strengthen our trade relationships and attract strategic investments. These Business Receptions will set the stage for the 3rd Edition of the main Annual Business Forum in Brussels, where even greater collaboration can take shape.”
Previous experiences have shown that the Business Receptions are an ideal platform to kickstart trade deals. Alongside networking opportunities, short speeches will provide an avenue for attendees to explore new partnerships and market access opportunities.
As Nigeria’s trade with Belgium and Luxembourg continues to expand, these events will serve as a key milestone in unlocking new avenues for investment and supporting sustainable economic growth.
