As Muslims around the world celebrate Eid al-Fitr, President Bola Tinubu has extended warm congratulations to Muslim faithful in Nigeria, urging them to remain committed to the values of humanity and nation-building.
In his Sallah message, the President called on Muslims to rededicate themselves to the noble teachings of Ramadan, which emphasise piety, empathy, and unity among people.
“We have a lot to draw from the noble lessons of Ramadan, especially at a time like this. We must continue to abide by the virtues of piety, selflessness, perseverance, kindness, and compassion beyond this period,” he said.
President Tinubu further encouraged Muslim faithful to extend acts of kindness to the less privileged, regardless of religious differences, as a way of strengthening unity and fostering peaceful coexistence.
He also urged religious leaders to use the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr to offer prayers for peace, stability, and prosperity across the country.
The President noted that the values of sacrifice, discipline, and compassion learned during Ramadan should continue to guide individuals and communities in their daily lives, especially in efforts to build a more united and progressive Nigeria.
