Bayelsa Queens, Benue Queens Relegated From The Ardova Handball Premier League 2023

Bayelsa Queens and Benue Queens sealed their relegation from the Ardova Handball Premier League after they lost their matches on day 10 of the second phase of the league in Lagos.

Bayelsa Queens couldn’t earn that much needed win against Plateau Peacocks despite going all out against the former champion and they fell short, losing with slim 25-24 while Benue Queens couldn’t stand the firepower of Seasider Babes of Lagos as they lost 25-19.

The results leaves Bayelsa Queens on 9th position with 22 points; five points from Bendel Dynamos, who have 27 points while Benue Queens languish in the bottom of the women category league with 21 points.

In other matches of the female category, Safety Babes is set to retain their title following their 35-32 victory over Delta Queens.

This result cement their lead on the league table with 50 points, which is 7 points above Defender Babes who are second on the table with 43 points after their 27-25 defeat to Imo Grasshoppers.

In the men category, a resurgent Bendel Dynamos, though still seating at the bottom of the league table, comfortably defeated Confluence Stars 32-24 while Correction Boys won Seasider Boys of Lagos 21-20.

An in-form Rima Strikers earned a comfortable 41-27 victory over Police Machine while league  leaders Niger United defeated Benue Buffaloes 44-21 which earned them 55 points, 3 point more than Tojemarine Academy who defeated defending champion Kano Pillars 31-26.

Safety Shooters are in third position after defeating De Defenders 33-11.
