Senior Pastor Word of life Bible Church Warri, Delta State, Papa Ayo Oristejafor has urged men and women within and outside Nigeria whose lives have been impacted directly or indirectly by the life and times of the Archbishop Benson Idahosa of blessed memory to attend the Sons of Benson Idahosa Conference (SOBIC) set to hold on Thursday 8th and Friday 9th September 2022 in Benin City, Edo State Nigeria.
He made the call while receiving Bishop FEB Idahosa, President, Benson Idahosa University, his wife Dr. Laurie Idahosa, and members of the All Nations for Christ Bible Institute International Alumni Association (Organizers of the Sons of Benson Conference) at the Word of Life Bible Church in Warri Delta State.
‘’If a river forgets its source, it will dry up, I want to say to you, if you want to experience your full potential, if you want to be everything God intends for you to be, then you must wake up that part of you that connects to this great man, because I don’t know of anybody that ever had contact with him and remained the same. It is just impossible, you couldn’t be around him and not be affected, he would affect you. ‘’
While receiving the guests, he described the Sons of Benson Idahosa conference as one coming in good time, assuring that it kickstarts what can best be described as a movement. According to him, a new wave of the spread of the Gospel will be ignited as the Church wakes up to its responsibilities as change makers in the society.
He described the Archbishop Benson Idahosa of blessed memory as one who’s legacies and impact will be felt by generations to come as not only men and women were affected by his life, but Nations as well.
‘’I think the time has come for us to say ‘we remember him, for his impact, and we want to stand for what is truthful. We want to carry what he was carrying, we want to continue from where he stopped. We want to say, the Gospel cannot stop and will not stop. I tell you from my heart, I feel fired up right now. I want to be able to do much more than I ever did.’’
Meanwhile, members of the All Nations for Christ Bible Institute International Alumni Association also known as ‘AA Global say the theme for the event ‘Idahosa’s Legacies…keeping the fire’ is aimed at bringing together men and women whose lives have been impacted directly or indirectly by his life and times with a view to causing his voice to be heard again as one body.
The Sons of Benson Idahosa Conference 2022 is billed to hold at the Church of God Mission International, Faith Arena Benin city, Edo State and has as its host Apostle Dr. Zilly Aggrey, Chairman, Governing Council All Nations For Christ Bible Institute International Alumni Association (AA Global) and Archbishop Margaret Benson-Idahosa as Chief Host.
The two day event will also showcase Speakers from Nigeria, including Archbishop Joseph Ojo, Archbishop Sam Amaga, Bishop Simeon Okha, Professor Cletus Diolu, Bishop FEB Idahosa, Reverend Dr. Nkechi Anayo – Iloputaife and other great men and women of God within and outside the Country.
